Westside Baseball

Recent rule changes are leading to changes in the summer travel baseball landscape in Wisconsin. Combining that with the monumental fees families are having to pay for travel ball today gave us a new opportunity to provide the best possible experience for our players. We present to you, the Westside Baseball High School Summer Team! The goal of the Westside Baseball Summer Team(s) is to improve the summer travel ball experience for our players and families. We aim to keep our players working together and playing together throughout the summer. Players will lift, practice, and play together all summer with the same coaches. Not only will this be a better experience for our players and families, it'll come at a fraction of the cost. Once high school season comes to a close, we will shift to a summer schedule. This will include: midweek team lifting, speed/agility, player development sessions, and team practices. The team will play midweek night games in the Legion format along with a handful of tournaments. The games and tournaments will be selected based on level of competition and ability to be scouted by local college coaches.

Some of the current summer ball experiences we hear from families within our program are not so great! We have more than enough quality baseball players in our Westside Baseball Community who want to play high school summer ball. Couple that with the WIAA allowing summer contact days for HS Coaches and this ends up being a big win for the Westside Baseball Community. We aim to continue to honor the tradition of Work Together, Stay Together! Our players will benefit from the consistency of coaching and playing with their teammates and friends. This opportunity will streamline players' practice schedules, lifting, school, work, etc. and will be inexpensive compared to what a traditional high school travel team program would charge. The budgeted cost will be 100% transparent to where your costs are going.

Westside Baseball players do not need to try out, they only need to register: Register Here. Once the coaching staff receives the registration, we will send a confirmation message to the player.

No off season practices for this team. Players will get training opportunities through high school open gym times.

Westside Baseball Players Only - exceptions and special cases for roster spots for non-Westside Janesville players will be taken into account on a case-by-case basis.

**We are very supportive of JYBSA. It's a wonderful program and we appreciate what they do for the youth baseball players of Janesville. As such, we are not offering youth travel teams. We do not intend to compete with JYBSA in any way! We want to offer instruction to players who will attend Parker HS and therefore help JYBSA's youth travel teams be even more successful.
